Going to Antigua via Crown Princess on Nov. cruise. Please somebody help me with all these beaches. Want a beach that isn't too expensive to get to by taxi and isn't too crowded. Would love to hear from those who have been there. Getting desparate for recommendations. Thanks!!!!!

Hawksbill Resort would be a great choice. It's only about 10 min. away, and I think we paid $6 each to get there. They have 4 beaches there. The last one is a CO beach. The property is beautiful. They have an all-inclusive plan or you can just go and use the beach (rent chairs).

I hae not been to Hawksbill but i have heard good things about it - the next time we are in Antigua, we may go there.

I have been to Dickenson Bay and Long Bay.

We found Dickenson Bay a bit too busy for us and did not find any snorkeling there. We liked Long Bay - quieter, OK snorkeling, loungers for rent - however it is further from the docks than Dickenson Bay or Hawksbill.

We were in Antigua on Friday, October 19th. Not sure where you're docking, but we were on the Destiny. We had 9 in our group and a cab ride was $3pp to Runaway. They have a nice little beach bar and restrooms that were clean.

When we asked which beach we should go to he made a point of saying that the party beach was Dickenson Bay. We wanted something a bit quieter- it had been a busy week so we chose Runaway.

We rented a jet ski for $40 per 1/2 hour. There were horses you could ride- I think the price was $25 for 45 minutes. 2 chairs with an umbrella were $15. We arranged with our cab driver to pick us back up for $3 pp to the dock and he was right on time.
