Just back from Castaway beach

Just returned from Crown Princess and visited Castaway beach. The beach itself was absolutely beautiful and there were restrooms and showers and a nice beach bar with good drinks. However, I would not recommend this beach. The water appears beautiful blue and green from the shore, but it is actually very milky. You can't see down in the water. Evidently the sand stays churned up at this beach. I'd skip this one and go to another with clear water.

Thanks for the report. Can I ask what makes you says that it "stays" this way? Is that what they told you?

The condition of the beach and the water changes at different times of the day/year and with weather patterns. It's highly unlikely that that particular beach will be always "milky".

We didn't discuss this with anyone. Just our observation when we were there. I have no idea if it's like this all the time. We walked for almost a half mile each way (Jolly Beach - adjacent) and it was the same way. A little disappointing.
