Just back from San Juan and the Crown Princess. Our group of 26 toured with Victor from Country Side Tours. He is a very kind and knowledgeable man but I don't think he was equipped to handle a group of this size. We experienced some major glitches and did not visit all the sites promised due to considerable time delays. First problem - our bus was pulled over by a policeman and our driver got into a heated argument (upsetting us all) near El Morro. Evidently we were not permitted to be driving and stopping in that area for photo ops. As a tour operator he should have known better. We sat there more than a half hour waiting for a ticket. Next problem was lunch. We went to a local restaurant in the hills. They also were not prepared to handle a large group. Lunch took 2 hours and was very disorganized. By this time we were wondering if Victor had done much planning and/or if this was purposeful so we didn't have time for the other stops. Because lunch took so long we missed two agreed upon stops on the tour and had to go directly to the airport. There was no reduction in the price of the tour to compensate. Our trip was disappointing and not the best ending to a wonderful cruise. I would not use this operator again.
