crew overboard on Victory

Does anyone know...do they have crew watching the side of the ship at all times? Because it occured to me while looking out at the ocean from our balcony that you could go overboard late at night and no one would ever know because of the pitch black night and darkness of the seas. Within second you would be out of view. Obviously such incidents have occured but not as many as you would expect...or at least that I hear of.

Overboards occur more often than you think. If you go here http://www.cruisejunkie.com/events.html there's a chart with overboards per cruise lines. DH and I never go out on the ships decks after dark if there's just the two of us out there. If we want to exercise, we just walk up and down the stairs or hangout on our balcony.

That is a pretty amazing web site. A co-worker was able to locate the cruise that she was on 2 years ago where two elderley people went missing mysteriously during the night. Seems it does happen a lot more than you think.

The railings are high enough on your balcony to prevent an accidental "slip" overboard...unless you do something stupid like this...

Wow... that's gal's about to knock her stupid genes right out of the gene pool!

She's not short - I wonder why she felt the need to be taller? Must be the alcohol at work.
