adjournthis120 Posted November 23, 2007 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2007 I was booked on an RCI New England cruise this fall that I had to cancel because I was taken ill and had to be hospitalized for a couple of days. We had the insurance through RCI and received all the paperwork from the insurance company within a week of our cancellation. I filled out the forms, had my doctor fill out the medical paperwork and submitted to the insurance company. Believe it or not, we had a check in our hands within two weeks! I was sure we were in for a long battle before we ever got a full refund, but were very surprised with such prompt and pleasant service. I believe the insurance company was Berkeley, and they were very professional toward us. I've always take insurance on our cruises and I won't hesitate to continue. Our full refund helped make a miserable experience a little easier to take.

ruecatt Posted November 23, 2007 #3 Share Posted November 23, 2007 I am glad to hear about your experience. I have the insurance on our cruise for next year. We may have to cancel if my mom's health worsens and I was concerned about how complcated it would be to get a refund. Thanks for sharing.
