Yin Yang Posted April 20, 2004 #1 Share Posted April 20, 2004 I have read that conch is pronounced "conk". I was curious as to the pronunciation of jitney. Also, are there any other words I should familiarize myself with before my trip? Sailin' in June... Don't know how to get the count down But that's o.k. I'm a still gonna sail out Anyway! Yin Yang Posted April 23, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted April 23, 2004 I'm sorry for this silly email. I was thinking that this was exclusive slang for the Bahamas, but I've come to learn on my own that a dictionary proves to be quite helpful. For those viewing, enjoy this laugh on me!
