sillylizzie Posted August 28, 2008 #26 Share Posted August 28, 2008 I don't really understand the theme. I get the patriotism/Americana idea. I just don't know how some of the decidedly UN-American elements (Ivanhoe Show Lounge, Winston's cigar bar, Shogun Club Casino, Paris Hot Jazz Club, Iliad Library...) fit the bill... Per Cruise News Daily: The interior theme of Carnival Valor is heroes and heroism. "Valor's design explores a wide variety of what can be defined as heroic," Joe Farcus, Carnival Cruise Lines' interior architect tells us. There is a certain American feel to the decor overall, and the icons featured within many of the public rooms represent the best of what America is all about," said Farcus. http://www.cruisenewsdaily.com/s-cvalor.html
