LakerMom Posted January 3, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 3, 2008 I am trying to figure out a budget for our time on the ship for how much I can allow for drinking. I know this will add up real fast and I don't want to get stuck with hundreds of dollars when the time comes to pay at the end. Does anyone know how much drinks are on the "Holiday". We would be primarily looking for prices for drinks like Bud Light, margaritas and tequila sunrises. I was told that drinks are about $8 a piece. I thought that was a little steep. Maybe someone can tell me from experience.

Most beers 4.50 + 15% gratuity, mixed drinks are from 4.50 to about 6.95 for the drink of the day + the 15%
LakerMom Posted January 3, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted January 3, 2008 When you say + gratuities . . . Does that mean you do tip the bartender or server when you get the drink or is that price included in the tips per day per person that you pay at the end of the cruise? KroozFoolz Posted January 3, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2008 The 15% gratuity is figured and then included in the amount charged to your sail and sign card at the time you purchase your drink.
Charming01 Posted January 3, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 3, 2008 The bartendars and waiters will automatically add the 15% to EACH drink you order and this doesn't fall under the automatic tips.
LakerMom Posted January 3, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted January 3, 2008 So if I understand this right. . . when I am told the price of the drink that is the price. I don't need to tip or anyting. I just sign the card and I am done.

NCTribeFan Posted January 3, 2008 #11 Share Posted January 3, 2008 Are those prices current? Just off the Miracle, and I think they may be $0.25 or $0.50 higher. Our Capers don't apply to any other cruise (since we were "special") but I had planned on scanning the drink menu that I picked up and adding it to my pics on Webshots. All tips are voluntary. I've never considered removing the tips from the drink tab, though.

irishgirl Posted January 3, 2008 #13 Share Posted January 3, 2008 I don't think you can remove the tips from the drinks. When you get the slip to sign, it has the 15% already added in and you sign for the total price.
