You are right Mare- besides loving the Adventure herself, one of my main reasons sailing from San Juan is when we get off the plane it is hot already, we don't have to sail for a day first. I tell people that all the time when they ask why we sail from there. And actually from Nova Scotia it isn't all that much more expensive for airfare. And we stay a couple of days post cruise so worth the extra that airfare does cost. 26 more days for us.

You can email me at quakerzon at yahoo dot com. From there you can have almost all the info you might need. My first born (second, my avatar, and third) have no SSNs, so I can't give you that.

Just drop me a note if you want. I'll be happy to help if I can.

Erika, Did you ever get my email? I sent it over a week ago....willing to talk about sending you some AOS Casino Chip$ !!

No, I didn't see any email. I wonder if Spam caught it or something. Try resending and make sure the Subject line says something like AOS Casino Chips.

Again, email is quakerzon at yahoo dot com.

I know there has to still be time. We can make this happen for you.

Tough luck, I'm sailing on Adventure next week and just gonna miss Richard Spacey. I did email RCI thought and found the new CD will be Abel Jenney...I read he is pretty good so we shall see.

just got back. I have nothing to compare him with, but Abel is absolutely fantastic! He doesn't miss a thing and is very funny, my sides hurt after listening to him for an hour or two!

We were with him on the VOS in October. Very few if any complaints from anyone.

The two gentleman on board from Spain for six months made each evening interesting with the outfits they wore.

Can you imagine? They live in Malaga, got on the ship and are staying on board for the ENTIRE caribbean swing. I can't even imagine. Supposedly they have an entire CONTAINER of "costumes." By the third night of our cruise, people would applaud their arrival (and they LOVED IT) it always had to be a production, they entered from deck 5 and walked all the way down the stairs to their table on deck 3. Unreal. Our waiter (and the lovely waiter at the table next to us) gave us all of the hilarious details.

Hey everyone! My sister and I are booked on the AOS 4/14/13 - 4/21/13 for her birthday cruise. When I look at the RCI website, there are two sets of deck plans... one is dated 4/15/12 - 4/14/13 and the other is 4/21/13 - 11/4/13. Is there something going on the week of 4/14/13-4/21/13???

Not sure, but that would typically be the week that the Adventure goes Transatlantic, if that means anything... I do think that it's scheduled for dry dock at some point in the next couple of years, but it would generally be for more than a week!

I love puerto Ricans. I lived in PR for 2 years and my girl friend is half Puerto Rican. They are a fun bunch of people. Ive never been on that ship and probably wont ever go though. I refuse to pay for flights to Puerto Rico because I can fly for free on southwest and currently SWA doesnt fly there. Hopefully with their acquisition of air tran they start flying to airports in the Caribbean.

Thanks for the encouraging words. I am leaving for a OAS cruise in June and very ecxited. It's my husbands first cruise and I want it to be a great experience. Plan on cruising for many years together. People have to realize you get rude people everywhere; mall, grocery store, NJ beaches etc. What makes them think a cruise ship would be any different? Some people are just born rude. I'm on vacation and I don't plan on anyone or anything ruining it. We are going to the Eastern Carribean; Nassau,St.Thomas StMaartan. Any suggestions on beaches near ports that we can take a jitney or taxi too?

We've booked a Cruise out of Malaga on 19th May to Italy. It's our first Cruise.

On the days that the Ship is docked for Rome or Florence/Pisa,what time do you get off the Ship in the morning,as I want to prebook Train tickets online and would like to know what train times to look for. Also what is the latest time for boarding again in the Evenings.

Anyone got any tips on what to do or see in Valencia,Pisa,Florence,Rome,Ajaccio

Thanks

We are sailing on February 17, 2013 - myself, my dd, my best friend and her dd - and we cannot wait! We have never cruised the Southern Caribbean. Thanks for all the encouraging words - we are really looking forward to it.
