I recently found this web page with all kinds of reviews of the hotels.com/ca website very interesting........apparently alot of people didn't get what they paid for....below is the link.......if you are thinking of booking a hotel.....with them READ THIS FIRST:mad:

I used hotels.ca (the Canadian version) once and was very happy with the service. The hidden taxes and fees the OP refers to were shown in the left margin before I finalized payment. Yes, this was a service fee but the hotel was cheaper that I was able to find anywhere else including calling the hotel directly.

 

Like with everything, you need to shop around to make sure you are getting the best price.
