Help with Miami Accomodation

Hi everyone,

We have just had our flight cancelled so we now have to fly in a day earlier. Probably not such a bad idea!

We have no idea of where to stay or area that is near the pier. Could anyone give me advice please.

Many thanks

The Marriott is a great property. It is just south of the Doubletree Grand, which is also a nice place to stay.

The Hyatt is a super hotel and may be gotten for a steal on Priceline..

You really cannot go wrong with any of the 3* properties in the downtown zone.

I'd recommend the Marina Park Holiday Inn, it's close to Bayside and the pier, but they do not participate on Hotwire or Priceline. Pricewise you can do much better than what they charge.

Hi everyone,

Thanks heaps for all the info on accomodation.

We have actually just discovered we may be able to do a tranfer the day of the cruise from Orlando to Miami on cruise connections. We are just waiting to here back from them via email. Other wise we will be going in a day early.

Another tip from this great source of information from a fellow cruiser.

Planejoy we are going 1/1/05. See you are going in the next couple of days.

Have a great cruise.

Once again thanks everyone.

One last thought on Miami hotels. We've stayed at about all of them and I really don't think you can go wrong with any of them. The Marina Park across the street from Bayside is a great one if you're going to book directly with a hotel. If you're going to book on Priceline (we always do) a 3 star downtown hotel with a starting bid of $40 should get the ball rolling.

Here's more on pre-cruise hotel reservations that you might find helpful.

Anyone: Have you stayed at the Doubletree downtown? We'll be there next month, a new one for us, would appreciate any comments/tips.
