Jenbo57 Posted February 17, 2008 #1 Share Posted February 17, 2008 Has anyone ever rented a car for the day on Roatan, rather than book a tour? We've booked Victor Bodden, but I'm thinking I'd rather pick up a car and do our own thing. The island isn't that big, and I've got a great map (a co-worker has property there). I've found four rental car agencies; I've got inquiries into two of them so far. Pros? Cons? Thanks!
kamac56 Posted February 18, 2008 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2008 Personally if you have a map that maybe the way to go. We went with Diane and did a tour with her grup and we had a driver all to ourselves all day so she took us on a tour, we stopped whereever we wanted, but of course we stopped on the side of the road also every now and than and felot oboliged to buy from the kids selling items. We did have a great time with her and will do it again only because we don;t know the island very well nor did we have a map. I hope someone answers regarding the rental car, it would be nice to know. Good luck
Jenbo57 Posted February 20, 2008 Author #3 Share Posted February 20, 2008 Yeah, we've decided to go ahead and rent a car! Best Car Rentals is located at the cruise ship dock, and the employee I've been e-mailing back and forth has been great. $70 for the day for an SUV; we're all set!
