Another Skagway Car Rental ?

I rented a car a couple months back for our day in Skagway. I only rented one, but there are six of us. When renting on-line I was not able to rent a van. When Avis opens in May will this option be available? We plan to exit off the cruise ship first thing and walk to Avis and pick up our vehicle. Would everyone suggest that I rent two cars and give up on the idea a getting a van. Can you rent a van anywhere in Skagway???

Last year we wanted to do the same thing but there was no van in skagway so did two cars. Now they may have some this year and that I do not know for sure. Good luck.

We will be doing the same thing....I have reserved two cars with Avis, as we have 6. When the Avis office opens the first week in Mayin skagway, We will give them a call directly to determine if a Van is avialable. From this Website it appears they are, but you need to reserve them locally...

 

Also I am in contact with Sourdough Car rental in Skagway..they have vans, so that is an option as well.

Thanks for that information. I will contact Sourdough Car Rental and will also keep in mind that the first week of May I need to call Avis.
