Dzibilchaltun with kids?

We are considering the Dzibilchaltun excursion with kids (ages 6 and 9) as it provides an opportunity to both see a mayan ruin and swim in a cenote. The other cenote and ruin excursions are all day long ... anyone done this?

We are planning on this tour also in November with our children 14 & 9. Interested in the comments too;)

My sister went on it with her kids(8,14,16) and said that the two younger really seemed to have fun but her older son and DH made jokes about the cowboys. She said that the food was so-so.

 

Would she do it again I asked and she said likely not. She is highly critical of everything I might add.

We felt the same way. Our twin boys age 10 like it very much but my wife and daughter age 15 could not wait until it was over. I had fun because the boys enjoyed it. Have to agree with soareyes sister that the food was bad.
