Things to do in Talkeetna with Car

My DH will be taking a day flyfishing excursion and I will have the day to explore the area and will have access to a car. Any ideas? Thanks.

Flightseeing is my top recommendation. Otherwise get in the car and and consider some hiking?? Little Coal Creek is very nice. Walking around Beyers Lake is serene too. There use to be a kayak operator?? The Vets Memorial?? Walk around Talkeetna, do laundry. :) The library has some wonderful Alaska books, the Park Service has a climbers exhibit. Talkeetna museum, small but interesting.

You have started me thinking about options and investigating them. My DH and I already have the flight seeing scheduled. I was just trying to think of what I could do while he is on his flyfishing excursion. Your imput is quite helpful and very much appreciated.:)
