There's not much difference between the balconies on the Dawn since they are cut from the hull unlike the Grand class ships. They are all covered.

 

We had a balcony on Baja. As I recall, the opening was a little bigger than other decks. The square footage of the balcony was the same as other decks, but the opening was larger. Not sure if that really made any difference.

We've been on the Sun twice and it is identical to the Dawn. We were midship on Baja the first time and Aloha the second. Great balconies! I would wake up in the middle of the night and see my husband sitting out there. He told me he only slept about 3-4 hrs a night due to sitting on the balcony!! Also, it was great sitting there during part of the Panama Canal crossing. You will have no complaints about these balconies.
