When I filled out my stuff online, it said the check-in must be done 2 days before your cruise.

Try to do it as early as possible. Makes a lot of time difference when you are at the dock..

the notification we were given from HAL said to do the online checkin two weeks in advance so they could send the immigration info to Homeland Security for their pre-checks. I did our 4 or 5 months ago - as soon as I got the notice, so I could forget about it and no obsess!
