Closest Beach To Pier In Mazatlan

What's the closest beach to the pier in Mazatlan? We are doing a half day excursion in the afternoon, so I'm looking for a close beach to the kids to in the morning. Any suggestions?

hey there neighbor,,, in mazatlan, you will have to take a taxi to the beach, theres nothing near the port at all .. its an industrial port ..

 

i would take a taxi to the golden zone area,thats the only area where you can swim safely where all the resorts are, its about 15 minutes away from the cruise terminal .

I've done a little more research - is perhaps Stone Island the closest beach? It sounds like you can at least walk to the little ferries that can take you there, and that transportation is only $1.50 there and back.

Stone Island is not closer (time wise) than the hotel Playa Mazatlan by taxi or pulmonia.
