Playa Del Carman water taxi

Anyone take the water Taxi to Playa Del Carmen! We would love to visit there while in Coz!:o

Haven't done it, but have read many posts here about it. It's about a 45-minute ride [from downtown pier] and can be very rough.

It's actually a ferry, much larger than any water taxi I've ever seen.

Cost is around $20 for a round trip ride. Many great places in Playa.

Yes, we took the ferry from Cozumel in 6/05. It's kind of a rough ride, but Playa del Carmen is very beautiful. The beaches over there are fabulous. We took a tour (which I wouldn't recommend). The downside is don't plan on seeing Cozumel if you take the ferry over. By the time you do stuff and get back, the ship is ready to leave. THis year my cruise happens to dock in Cozumel once again and I plan on seeing Cozumel. Happy cruising!
