LOWTYD Posted March 20, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 20, 2008 Since the search is down and I know I've seen it before, can I get a list of must bring items? I remember duct tape, power strip, sticky notes and a sharpie pen but I'm drawing a blank on the rest. It's getting to be crunch time for packing and I want to be ready to dart out the door come April 12 with no worries:D Thanks in advance.

It started innocently but every third item is a beauty product that had nothing to do with the items it was listed with. I stated laughing and it just got worse until the end. BUT It's a great list. Thanks for posting it.:) and thanks for the laugh. I need to go to bed now.............

My neurotic family (not me I'm on vacation and relaxing) takes 4, one for each of us, different colored highlighters (with their names on their highlighter) to highlight which activity in the Dailys they want to attend. I never travel without my duct tape, extra batteries for my digital camera, shoe bag for the bathroom door, and a power strip. Everything else you can find anywhere. I think the bungee is to hold the balcony door open. The Duct tape can be used for 1001 uses including hemming pants legs, fixing broken luggage even a boob lift if you want some exrta cleavage:rolleyes: My girl scouts have even made wallets out of it! We have been on 5 NCL cruises...trust us when we say........... Pack a hairdryer!!!:) Yes, they have them, but you can blow dry your hair faster by using your mouth versus the ones they have on board...that is about how much little hot air they give out!!

slotaddict Posted March 22, 2008 #16 Share Posted March 22, 2008 the hairdryers on the Dawn and Pearl are fine, you don;t need to bring one. The Spirit is yet another story.

Lisa&Neb Posted March 22, 2008 #18 Share Posted March 22, 2008 All i forgot for our recent cruise was After burn cream with alor, and to put our sun screen in checked luggage for our flight "got taken away by TSA". We also bring lots of zipp lock type bags. good for keeping junk together, packing a sandwitch for shore excursions, lots of things!!
silkhair1 Posted March 22, 2008 #19 Share Posted March 22, 2008 I always have to have an over the door shoe holder to hold everything that is small. I will now bring larger plastic bags because on our last cruise, the last night when your luggage is in the hall my 4 year old vomited all over the bed and himself and I had nothing to put the "dirty clothes" in. Not fun. Have a great time and give yourself a little lift with the duct tape and tell us how it was getting it off. LOL

Evidently you put the duct tape under your girls to lift them. Don't know if I have the nerve:o Thanks for your input.
montycjv Posted March 22, 2008 #21 Share Posted March 22, 2008 Don't forget the inflatable cooler...for Spirit cruises..no fridges on this ship and the tiny ice bucket will never cut it for us...the inflatable ice bucket is great:) ....... it packs flat in your suitcase and blows up to hold about 6 cans or bottles...just give the steward a few extra bucks and he will keep the ice coming......we also bring a small, soft cooler for the beach!! Both are "must haves" for us!!!:) The over the door shoe holder.....for all our bathroom supplies....that is our other "must have"...;)

montycjv Posted March 23, 2008 #24 Share Posted March 23, 2008 One more must have (can't believe I forgot to mention it:confused: ), is a liquid anti-bacterial soap pump dispenser for your bathroom, and a water-free one for your purse, for when you go off the ship. Yes, they do have soap dispensers in the shower and a "tiny bar" of something, but we prefer to carry a liquid pump....especially with the kids hitting the video arcades, kid's clubs, etc. We are not neurotic, but it just feels better to know they are washing with some good stuff!!:)
montycjv Posted March 24, 2008 #25 Share Posted March 24, 2008 Also...for those going to beaches that may have sand flies, or areas with bugs, etc.....don't forget to bring your insect repellant...we are bringing the portable "off wipes", as we were informed that when the sun begins to set, the bugs start biting....not a fun thing......
