Excursions in Progreso

I am having trouble finding reviews on excursions in Progreso and want to know if there are plenty to chose from once we get to port if one is not booked before hand?

At the pier you will have the choice of a number of excursions but if you do not know what each entails before arrival you will probably be lost. Have you visited the Progreso board?

I have vidited that board but not found alot of info. Alot of people say they booked with AutoProgreso at the port.

When you depart the ship you will walk through a small tourist village before you reach the bus/van/taxi loading area. You will be offered a menu of travel options just before you reach the loading area. I would suggest you know what you want to do before you reach this point.

We were looking at a Mayan Jeep Adventure & Beach Break or Dune Buggy & Beach Break or maybe seeing the Flamingos and a Beach Break. I have read of alot of people using something called auto progreso at the pier to book their trips.Something fun to do with our 15 & 17 yr old sons.
