I am booked, along with other friends and co workers on the Sept 20th 1 night cruise out of New York.

Although I have cruised alot and 2 times on the Spirit, I was wondering what type cruise organized things they have on 1 night cruises??? Karoake??? Are the pools open??? Hot tubs?? Shows?? Entertainment at all the bars??

Anyone with any info, it will be appreciated.

Thanks,

This is one of my reports from my past 1 nighter

" I've been on 6 - 1 nighters ( Dawn 2 ) and ( Spirit 4 ) from NYC. I'm going again in Oct on the Spirit. It's really a party, getting the most of one night, kinda cruise. My wife and I needed a break from the 12 & 8 year olds. My wife likes to dance but we are not able to go to clubs so this is a good time to score some points with the wife.;) We usually don't get back to our room until after 2am. Some of my friends also joined us at these cruises and they didn't even sleep until they got home on Sunday.

-I usually arrive at 11:00 and wait to get in around 12-12:30pm.

- Pools /Hot tubs are open.

-The casino is usually crowded until around 2am, I'm not much of a gambler, so I stop by after 2am and usually get a seat on the tables and out by 2:15am.:o

-There are alot of big groups that go for bachelorette, b'day, etc parties.

-Karaoke is always full and fun.

-Service is sometimes slow but who cares, I'm not going anywhere.

-We just needed our drivers license ( I think that will change this year )but bring a passport in case you get a person who is in a bad mood that day.

-We bring a small carry-on bag of clothes, make that, I bring a pouch for my belongings and my has the rest of the bag for her shoes and evening clothes.

-The club gets crowded after 12am. Sometimes they a ship-n-dales for the ladies.

-Make sure you don't plan to do anything on Sunday, it's rest day. "

Thanks so much for the info. I cruise alot... but not one nighters and I have an office full of women asking me what to expect. And I had no answers.... so I will pass it on and I am sure you are right in regards to Sunday....

Looking forward to trying to fit as much in as I possibly can.

Mat t gus

When you go in Sept and Oct, I will be on Oct 4th, how is the ocean, my dd, gets sea sick and I need to know if I need the patch for her.

thanks

It is not that bad. It doesn't go far enough to feel the waves. My wife and kids take ginger pills for their sea sickness. Seems to work for them, plus it doesn't get them drowsy. The time on board goes so fast, you won't have time to get sea sick. :D I would bring the meds just in case bad weather start to cause huge waves.

One time the weather was really nice and I actually opened the balcony door at night. But then I woke up and decided to close it. Not because of the weather but just the thought of the ship tilting to my side and my wife and I going overboard without life jackets.

Thanks for the info, I am really excited it will be her 21 birthday and she loves to cruise, with her schedule we could never take a longer one. This will fit the bill. Was thinking of doing Cagney's but for 4 plus two lobster lovers we would spend another 100 dollars, it is not work it.

Sure we will find plenty to eat in the other venues.

again thanks
