Kaboochi Posted April 19, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2008 First I must say that the Summit is a first class ship. We sailed 2/9/08 and give 5 stars all around, especially the staff. After reburbishment it will look even better. My only complaint is about the slot machines in the casino. Hubby and I like to play at night and I must say that the machines were so tight, we never got more than a few dollars back any time we hit the spin button. I only hope they put looser machines in when they do the refurbishment. We don't expect a huge winning but the slots on this ship are the worst we have ever played on any cruise. Love Summit, don't love the casino.
Davey Interweb Posted April 19, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2008 There isn't really such thing as a "loose machine", per se, because the overall payout percentage is determined by the software or firmware installed on it. If they aren't particularly loose, it'd be because Celebrity intended them to be that way. At any rate, the slots onboard X ships have to meet Nevada regulatory standards for payback. I think their payout percentage must be at least 75%, but don't quote me on that number.
