Old San Juan - Brunch

I won't be in San Juan until May, so I can't speak from personal experience, but the boards on here always talk about La Bombanera in Old San Juan. Apparently it is great local food for a great price, and it is a hot spot on Sundays. Many Puerto Ricans and cruise ship passengers have suggested it. I can comment more in May, which can't come soon enough!

I like La Bombonera, but it's an extremely casual place, like a diner in the US. Not what I'd think of for a special or nice brunch. Also, unless you could reserve the tables at the very back, under the mezzanine, it would be hard to seat 15 people together.

How about The Parrot Club or El Convento? (lots of posts about both on this forum).

La Bombonera seems like it would be good but I need something a bit less casual than that place.

I will check out the other 2 suggestions. Any more suggestions......a brunch place where I can make reservations and tell everybody in advance how much per person.
