hvm57 Posted April 27, 2008 #1 Share Posted April 27, 2008 My wife and i are citizens from the Netherlands. We have sailed 7 cruises so far. We do 1 or 2 each year. But the prices in the netherlands are much higher as in the usa. We pay in euros much more as that we should do in dollars. So my question is: how can ik book my cruise in the USA. On the internet? Are the internet agencys thrust wourthy (i hope my english is good enough...). Have you any tips? Thankx in advance. greetz Hendrikus
FLKerry Posted April 27, 2008 #2 Share Posted April 27, 2008 My suggestion would be to call the cruise line directly and I am sure they can assist you. I had table mates from Spain one time and that is how they booked their cruise. Good Luck!
karen&roy Posted April 27, 2008 #3 Share Posted April 27, 2008 I always book with the large internet agencies and have never had a problem
sail7seas Posted April 27, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 27, 2008 I wish I could write Dutch as well as you do English! I think that if you tried to book directly with HAL, you would still pay in Euro and at what appears to be higher prices. You probably would do best if you can book in U.S. Dollars with an internet agency. Your Euro exchange is so good against our dollar, surely you would make out better. Unfortunately, I have no suggestion as to specific agency to try. I don't think we are permitted to name specific sites or TA's on CC. Even if we could, I would not be helpful as I don't book on line. Good luck. I hope you find a way to do this.
CowPrincess Posted April 27, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 27, 2008 Lots of the internet travel agencies have "Contact Us" information -- you could e-mail them and get a phone # to speak directly with someone in the US at the travel agency. There are a number of agencies that are HUGE, and if you "Google" "cruise travel agent" you should find many. There are also clickable links on Cruise Critic that can take you to internet travel agent pages. Your English is great!!!! Hope this helps.
