Help with choosing Norwegian Jewel vs NCL Navigator

My family of 5 are looking at two cruises next April on the Jewel and Navigator. Both are 5 day and have similar itineraries. For the family which would be better? Freestyle cruising or huge ship on RCL?

Appreciate your thoughts. Have deposits on both, need assistance!

I have been on two Jewel class ships on NCL (Star and Jade). I have also been on the Navigator. Given the very limited information you are sharing (no information on ages for example) I would pick the Navigator over the Jewel. However, the Jewel has a water slide and the Navigator does not. If that is an issue for your group, then take that into account.

Have only been on RCCL (Navigator and Jewel, that's RCCL Jewel of the Seas, not NCL Jewel), but even between these two the Navigator won my heart over.

I'm going on an NCL cruise next week, but deep down inside, I have a feeling I'll be back to RCCL next time. I could be wrong, we'll see.

But the Navigator of the Seas is TOTALLY AMAZING AND AWESOME - rock climbing wall, mini golf, the Promenade, the ice skating show was SPECTACULAR, the food was amazing, the ship decor was gorgeous. Anyway, I hope to get back to that ship one of these days.

Have you made a decision yet?

Thanks for all of the info. My kids are 9, 11, and 15. Recently did Disney Wonder, I think they might have been to old, if you know what I mean. Most important for us is lots to do, easy dining, and decent size room. I have booked connected rooms tentatively on both. RC is a bit more expensive than NCL, about $500
