Panama Canal Cruise

We are cruising from San Diego to Ft. Lauderdale and back. What I would like to know if we need to get shots? We will be stopping in Mexico, Guatemala, panama city and colombia

I asked my agent this very same question. He said no. I went through the Panama Canal in February 2008 without any problems. We also stopped in Mexico, Colombia and Grand Cayman.

I always recommend getting Hep A (or a combo of Hep A and B). You can get Hep A from your own local restaurant, so ANYONE that ever eats out, should get one.

As far as I know..........the answer is NO!!

 

We have had injections for China and Africa..........and the last time that we went from San Diego to Ft. Lauderdale.........via the Panama Canal......no innoculations were needed.

You won't be in any of the ports long enough to need shots! If you were camping for several days out in the wilds, then you should, but not for a couple of daytime hours!
