cheryltwin Posted May 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 11, 2008 yes, there are many... but they are quite expensive... we were planning on getting a taxi to go see a resort about 15 min away that is in our timeshare group.... they wanted $25 one way, so we decided not to go... Wennfred Posted May 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 11, 2008 I was there a few weeks ago and didn't see any, the cruise terminal is so close to town that everyone just got off and walked into town. I did notice during our wait for 4 passengers that were late (Port time Hogs) that they stopped a taxi at the gate and would not let them through, the 2 older ladies had to get out and walk back. boaterette Posted May 12, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 12, 2008 There are shuttle buses when you get off the ship that take you to town for two dollars. The return trip on the shuttle is one dollar. There are taxis in town to take you to outlying areas. We took a horse drawn carriage back to the ship for a few dollars but they drop you off a little ways from the ship and you have to walk the rest of the way which isn't long. Enjoy. silleycats Posted May 12, 2008 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2008 We take the shuttle to town for $3. round trip and they run throughout the day. BEWARE, they try to talk you into going to La Bufadora to shop and see the blow holes. The first time we decided to go, but the bus was "Rickety" and old and it was such a long ride there. The prices didn't seem different than in town and it was set up more like a flea market. We just felt we lost a lot of time in port on an old bus. Now we know just to stay in town:cool:
