nseagirl Posted May 17, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 17, 2008 Interesting question! I was never a rum drinker. Didn't like the stuff. When we boarded Sovereign on April 28th, I told the person that I didn't want rum...they rummed it anyway. It was great! Thereafter, I took the rum. I think my favorite was the strawberry lava flow! The pina colada was great, also!

DHADEN Posted May 17, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 17, 2008 There is a book you can buy at any of the bars onboard that has all the recipes for all their Caribbean drinks. I found a website that has drink recipes and you can put in the name and it will find it for you: http://www.thebartend.com/jokes/AdultJokes.php Hope This Helps. The coco-locos at Coco Cay are great. They were, by far, the best drinks we had on our Cruise last week. Here's a link from the RCCL web site with the recipe: http://www.royalcaribbean.com/emailLinks/newsletter/summerdrinks.do Enjoy.:D:D
cruiseguy1016 Posted May 18, 2008 #9 Share Posted May 18, 2008 Hands down it's the Bahama Mama! Since our last cruise, I have been making them at home when I get in a "Caribbean" mood. INGREDIENTS 1/2 fluid ounce rum 1/2 fluid ounce coconut-flavored rum 1/2 fluid ounce grenadine syrup 1 fluid ounce orange juice 1 fluid ounce pineapple juice 1 cup crushed ice DIRECTIONS Combine regular rum, rum with coconut flavoring, grenadine, orange juice, pineapple juice and crushed ice in an electric blender. Blend until the drink's consistency is slushy.

This drink is FABULOUS!!!! :D The Painkillers.........as made at any Pussers Restaurant.........well.....let's just say that two kills the pain.....and you need to remember that you still have to walk back to the ship. Pussers also has many other wonderful rum drinks and specialty concoctions. One of my most favorites on RCCL.........Monarch, Jewel and Navigator...is the mojito. With properly muddled spearment.........it gets my vote!! Rick
decruisers Posted May 18, 2008 #14 Share Posted May 18, 2008 I vote for the Coco-loco....was it really the drink, or the drink brought to my beach chair in LaBadee?? Both:D We have tried to re-create them at home and come to the determination that drinks taste better in the caribbean.
