what side of the train should we sit?

we will be taking the train from Seward back to Anchorage. Does it matter what side of the train to sit, for the best views?

It doesn't really matter because if someone spots something, everyone rushes to that side anyway!:D

We prefer the left side to Anchorage just because it looks across the inlet - sometimes the right side is up against a cliff. Nancy

In the past seats were assigned. For me it does matter what side. From Seward to Girdwood, I want the right side of the train. I then switch to the left. I use the dome car and stand in the vestibule for the side of my opposite side assigned seat.
