airlink diva Posted May 29, 2008 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2008 Good morning fellow cruisers!! I noticed that several cruisers mentioned on having lunch in the Pinnacle grill. I want to know the following concerning this. Is Pinnacle offering lunch only for suite guest? I ask this because from reading some threads that suite guest can have breakfast there. How much is the lunch in the Pinnacle? Is this only offered on sea days? I just might want to try this on my upcoming cruise. Happy sailing!! Second time around and my 40th birthday cruise on the MAASDAM!! 10/24/08-11/07/
sail7seas Posted May 29, 2008 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2008 We have had lunch in Pinnacle several times and really enjoyed it. It is open for everyone and the charge used to be $15 pp. Recently, dinner was reduced from $30 to $20 so it seems likely lunch will also be reduced. It varies from ship to ship and sometimes Hotel Manager to Hotel Manager as to days it is open. We have seen it open on some port days for lunch but that is not the rule. It normally is just sea days but there can be exceptions. Breakfast in Pinnacle is only for guests in "PS" and "S", SA, SB and SC" Cabins.
Alaskabound77 Posted May 29, 2008 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2008 Sail7seas- Why do you think they dropped the prices? Were there not enough people attending the place?
sppunk Posted May 29, 2008 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2008 It is now $10, and it was only open sea days on our recent Westerdam cruise.
Alaskabound77 Posted May 29, 2008 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2008 Was there some reason it was full on Thursday? Is that the night of the limited menu (like the Master Chef dinner but no MC dinner on the Westerdam).
airlink diva Posted May 29, 2008 Author #6 Share Posted May 29, 2008 Thanks for the info! I'm going to check into this when I board the ship. Is the menu like the dining room menu or is steak offered during lunch? Happy sailing!!!
sail7seas Posted May 29, 2008 #7 Share Posted May 29, 2008 The Pinnacle Lunch Menu is different than their dinner menu. Very delicious. I'll see if I can find the lunch menu and post it. Actually, it might have already been posted here. Probably KK.....she has posted all menus at one time or another. :)

Is that the night of the limited menu (like the Master Chef dinner but no MC dinner on the Westerdam). The menu is limited, but I felt is just as strong (except appetizers) as other evenings regarding soups and entrees.

awfw Posted June 22, 2008 #16 Share Posted June 22, 2008 I am interested in attending the Pinnacle Grill for lunch and would like to know where and how I can make advance reservations on line. If not, can I make them onboard and where would this take place? Thanks for any help you can give. awfw
kakalina Posted June 22, 2008 #17 Share Posted June 22, 2008 AWFW: You can make a res on line at the HAL website. The best way is the day you board the ship to go to the PG where they will have the res book and can set you up for as many days or nights as you wish. cf_chuck Posted June 22, 2008 #18 Share Posted June 22, 2008 Is the "sit down" lunch served for luch other than the Pinnacle ? In my experience, the main dining room serves sit down lunches on most sea days. When in port, the main option is the Lido, Terrace Grill, or room service. jtl513 Posted June 23, 2008 #21 Share Posted June 23, 2008 Is there a "suggested" dress code for lunch at the Pinnicle?I don't think so. I wouldn't go there dressed very down-scale, but I and my family all wore shorts there with no problem.
