Looking on the Travelocity site (HAL wouldn't show me deck plans), I would think that the only possible engine noise would be EE 802-810 and EE787-795. They seem to be right across from the space that might lead to the engine. Beyond that, it's a really handy deck when in port. Nancy

I had one of the F cabins near the stern on the Veendam (sister to the Ryndam), an "upgrade" from an L inside, on an Alaskan cruise. I couldn't see much out of the window due to the salt spray. I didn't hear much engine noise, but did hear the thrusters *very* clearly. It wouldn't be my first choice of OV cabin - I like being higher up - but otherwise was OK.
