Would like information from some one who has cruised in a JS cabin. How did you like it?

I've also sailed in a D1 balcony and liked the JS much better. It has a couch and bigger bathroom with a tub/shower so it's much bigger. The balcony is also much bigger. I would do a D1 again if money was tight but much prefer the JS.

BTW-I love the Grandeur! Going on her again this Sept.

I have sailed in JS 8038 and friend were in JS 8536. Alot more room, for sure. There are some shots of the cabin from my webshots album, click on the link in my signature.

It's the only way to travel--plenty of room, like a hotel and it really makes you comfortable---large closet, tub (which makes the bathroom a few feet bigger!) and simply nicer!

We tried a regular superior OV once--and we will NEVER do it again. If I can't get a JS, we simply will book a different ship or time!

Ditto CB. JS's do cost a few $$$ more, however, it is well worth it. More room, big closet, tub, and extra C&A credit.

On our last cruise, on Jewel, we had an exceptional cabin attendant. We met the hotel director at the C&A function and praised our cabin attendant. We received the reply, "That's why he is taking care of JS's."

Looks like with the JS's (and above) you get the better stewards.

As far as Grandeur JS's, we had Aft JS 8088 on the '06 repo to NOLA. It was a great cabin. Our steward, "Mr.T", was outstanding.

We had and aft JS #7156 on the Granduer last Feb and liked it so much we've booked a 10 day on her this coming Dec in a corner aft #7650. As other posters have said, a JS has much more room in the cabin, bathroom and balcony and for us it's the only way to go and well worth the extra cost.

We have had a JS on the side just aft of the stairs by the centrum on deck 8. We've also had JS 8088. If an aft JS was available for our 10 day this Nov we would have booked it, but have a deck 7 balcony room instead. Love the Grandeur and JS.

Was "Mr. T" your cabin steward in 8088? If he was not, you missed a great and fun cabin attendant!

We didn't have Mr. T. The stewards name was Gerard and not much could be said about his service. Had to ask for ice when we could ever find him. Our earlier cruise we had a steward named George. He was a lot of fun, and always joking around.
