Custom boutique clothing?

Does anyone sew custom clothing for themselves or their kids for cruising? I am a member on another discussion board for Disney and there is a huge thread for us sewers to showcase and get ideas for personal customs for our kids to wear to Disney. I thought it would be fun to do that here as well. I'll start.

Those are really cute outfits! I don't sew a lot of clothes these days, but I do have a stack of fabric and patterns ready for summer skirts.

Do you make any bags or accessories? I know Martha Stewart had a pattern for a Hand Towel Beach Bag on her website this past week. I love to sew handbags ...

I never had them..I just do for my self..have 5 sewing mmachines, and a Cuban dressmaker that does alot for me as in restyle from prev worn items. As for me.. I do alot of lace, beading, trims on even bags, camies, shoes..I took a wedding gown apart for the lace appliques..and 15 yds of lace..bought a jeans vest and jeans that would fit my new "shape" after a visit to Dr. Dan, the tummy man....all the princess seaming had the lace borders all around, on the vest, even on the inside placket and up and around the leg of jeans.and the motifs scattered all over and down the legs. I had to have 3-4 days of bad posture, so it was great to sit and bead, pearl, sequin, and glue for 4 days..whilst in the elastic girdles. Been offered $300 for the pcs..nuh un...only worn it on 2 cruises..so time for it to make an appearance soon..as far as sewing from scratch..no more..and I haunt the 2ndary market stores for fabric..and nice or vintage eve bags..have about 35-40 now..I redo the trim, get nice buttons, pins,,earrings and replace..some made from older gown fabric..one even in my hotel room the night b4 sailing..just found some antik lucite handles for it. My bigg project is..I've collected pure silk garments in all sizes, cut them apart, and will strip quilt on a dis-mantled mans unstructured tux shirt, then re-assemble..it will be a jacket..I'm still looking for somethiig in yellow..b4 I start. lots of little projects b4 Aug cruzin...just finished a "tinkerbell" project for a customer in Cozumel all kinds of room embellishmentsfrom the sheets and pc's..and almost done with some 50th Anniv..next week....I really gotta vacuum!!!..yes I doodle all the time..lov-it...lucky
