Going to Thailand quite often on business, I usually "satisfy" my monetereal demands at an ATM with my Credit- or Maestro Card. You will find ATM´s virtually on every corner in Thailand and do not have to worry about exchange rates or comissions, which can be quite hefty if you do not compare them closely.

Thanks for the info, I assume you notify your bank of your intentions prior to departure so they don't freeze your card????
