Caribbean Princess upgrade from caribe to lido

I just booked my first cruise ever last week on the Caribbean Princess for January 22/05. I was given room C429. I heard alot of good things about the caribe deck and this was midship. I just got a call today from my TA and said Princess had upgraded us to lido deck room L223. This is more forward and a higher deck but is it a good move? Should I stay where I was. I realize midship by the main elevators may be noisy. If they have bumped me already can I expect another one?

Any help would be great!

I just took a look at the deck plans. I would ask to stay in the Caribe deck. Sure the Lido is really close and has quick access to the pool area but I was on the Caribe deck last month and liked the ease of not having to go all the way up or down to go some where. Right in the middle is great.

I wold prefer the Caribe deck. Interiors of all balcony rooms are the same BF thru BA, so the difference is the size of the balcony with Caribe and the location. I would prefer the half open/half covered larger balcony on Caribe. Lido will have all covered balcony 1/2 the size of Caribe.

We just returned from a Caribbean Princess cruise and had a balcony cabin on the Caribe deck and LOVED it. Balconies on this deck are half covered and large. And you are better off more midship.
