teacher2cruiser Posted July 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 2, 2008 I really value the opinions of folks on this board. We'll be newbies to Carnival, and are going to book the Glory Eastern Caribbean route for March 2009. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!
Rockee4055 Posted July 2, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 2, 2008 I really value the opinions of folks on this board. We'll be newbies to Carnival, and are going to book the Glory Eastern Caribbean route for March 2009. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks! We had a cabin on deck 6 in April. It was just forward of midship. We love this area because it is close to the elevators and convenient to everything, hence being mid-ship. I think it was like 6181 or 6280 but it was mid-ship, the cabin # is probably incorrect. We always try to book in this same area because of the convenience to everything. Hope this helps and enjoy the Glory!!!
Georgiagolfer Posted July 2, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 2, 2008 Don't know the "best" cabin on Glory, but DW and I have been in cabin 7278 twice, and cabin 7272 our last cruise. Both are port side and mid ship. Close to the stairs and atrium elevators. Never had a problem with noise from the elevators and just love the location, but mostly love the balcony. runcassrun_07 Posted July 2, 2008 #4 Share Posted July 2, 2008 The location you should choose depends on what type of person you are. We enjoyed staying toward the mid back of the ship under the Lido near the elevators/steps, #8416 because we were very close to the food, ice cream, pizza, etc. on the Lido. We went to the back of the Lido to lay out in the sun every day because it's not as busy as the mid ship pool, just up one set up steps. Also we were directly under the track which we ran on every day. But we did have to walk a little further to the spa to workout. If you stay in rooms on deck 6, like another cruiser suggested, then you would be closer to the dining room, casino, and the shops.:)
teacher2cruiser Posted July 5, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted July 5, 2008 Are the balconies equal on the different decks?
Chuggiebug Posted July 5, 2008 #6 Share Posted July 5, 2008 We have cruised the Glroy 5 times and love her and every cabin(all balconies) that we've had. The best however was the aft wrap around. The cabin was a weird shape but the balcony was so awesome. It must have been 25 ' long and wrapped from the back to the side. We could see both. We loved it so much we just booked an aft wrap around on the Dream!!!

Close to the elevator, and though it was under the Lido Red Sail, we heard no noise. It was convient to where our diningroom was. There was no hallway noise, and it was just a very nice room.
