Bases5 Posted July 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted July 11, 2008 If we go ahead and book a cruise can we change names before final payment without fees. One of my sons wants to go on a cruise but is not sure who he wants to take, so we were going to just put a friends name for now. ant thought. Cotton Posted July 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted July 11, 2008 You can say 'passenger'. My adult son couldn't decide which girlfriend to take a few years ago, and the PVP said it could be booked simply 'passenger to be named'. Had to have a name when final payment was due.:)
BrendaB1 Posted July 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted July 11, 2008 Some will allow TBA & some won't. There could also be a $50 charge to change a name.

My friends change the person booked with me less than two weeks before the cruise without any additional fee.

Book it with a TBA (to be announced) as the second person. I have booked two cruises like this. Must have a name by final payment, if that person backs out then it is a 50$ name change fee.
