Flat irons

Recommended Posts

No irons in the room. They are a fire hazard (I know, no different then a hair iron.) There are also no irons to use on the ship anywhere unless you send the clothes out.

I find it easier to iron at home and pack my hanging clothes in an individual plastic laundry bag. They unpack just as fresh as when I ironed them (if you pack them neatly in your hanging bag). My shirts and shorts, I pack in large 2 1/2 gallon ziplocks. I also pack my undergarments, spill-ables and bathing suits in a ziplock.

Yup, no irons in the rooms. If you iron at home you can pack using dry cleaner bags between the clothing, really helps. Also you can forget about ironing your most difficult items and send them to the ships laundry 1st thing. The prices for pressing only are 1/2 of the price of clean/press. Bring along a container of Downey Wrinkle Release, it'll work fairly well on item that aren't too wrinkled.
How wrinkled can a swimsuit get anyway? :D
Have a wonderful cruise.

A small travel steamer works wonders also.
Here is the list for RCCL services just incase something comes through really wrinkled. :)

I believe the cost for same day service is 50% more.

Travel irons are not allowed, so if you do decide to take it, make sure you unplug and keep hidden or it could be taken by your steward.
I use an aerosol wrinkle reducer by Magic. It goes on more evenly and has a nice "Morning Fresh" scent. I like to use it on my clothes that I am re-wearing again.
Believe me, your clothes will not wrinkle if you place the plastic dry cleaning bag over EACH item before packing. I fold the arms of each garment over the fronts before stacking another item on top.

The last two cruises I've inventoried the clothes for what really needed ironing and used RCCL's service, 50% off cleaning prices as Alexis posted above. I've never spent more than $7 for all items and they come back much better pressed than I ever managed, and without me having to do it. It's really a great way to go when on vacation. :D

I got your email last night and I plan to enjoy reading it tonight. Thanks so much for sending it. I figured being that we can drive to that port, maybe that would be a cruise for us at the end of next year after we recover from Disney. :)
Oh, we got our 25 people for the "Meet and Mingle". :D
I chatted with Bloemerl the other day because Louises Mom passed away and I happened to see his name on the Roll Call for his Brilliance cruise. I miss all you guys and the shopping talk and sales talk and chit chat, and cruise, and on and on and on.. :o
Our best to Marc too.
Love "Alexis"
