No one has been on Voyager to Bermuda yet - the first cruise will be in May, 2005. As far as I can tell, the casino will be closed from the time the ship docks in Bermuda (Tuesday morning) until it leaves on Wednesday (5 p.m., I believe) - as soon as it is 3 miles out to sea, the casino should open.

Having been to Bermuda on Horizon last, I too was hoping to try a much better ship. What I really don't like is you leave at 10pm!! What is up with that? Can you still board at 1pm? This seems like a total waste of a night, and almost makes it more like a 4-night cruise. Hard enough to do a 5-nighter, as that's too short for me, but leaving at 10pm makes it seem as if its not worth it. Comments?

There has been a lot of talk about this 5 night concept.

I would love to try the Voyager but also agree that it is not worth it for 5 nights and that was before I realized it did not sail until 10:00 p.m. Now it is REALLY a bust if you ask me.

BRING BACK THE EMPRESS OF THE SEAS 7 AND 8 NIGHT CRUISES TO BERMUDA!! (or better yet how about the Enchantment to Bermuda RC??!!)

No, you can't board at 1 p.m. since the previous cruise does not dock until noon - they then have to get all of those passengers off the ship and on their way. Assuming all goes well, you should be able to board at around 3 p.m. Still plenty of time for exploring the ship, dinner, parade, sail-away, etc. Granted, it is a short trip, but we did it to Canada last year and are going to Bermuda the same week (5/29) next year. Actually, it fits well with my work schedule and we don't have to fly anywhere:-) Been to Bermuda several times before, so we don't need to "see it all" this time. Love being on that ship!

We just got back from Empress to Bermuda, and I'm really disappointed that RCI won't be offering that trip next year. There's WAY too much to see and do in Bermuda to be there only two days. That and Voyager can't get into Hamilton or St. George, so you're way out at Dockyard the whole time.

As for the casino, at least on Empress, they were closed the whole time in port, and opened a little late after leaving due to rough weather on our sailing.

I'm thinking seriously of Celebrity Zenith next year since the RCI offerings to Bermuda are so poor. Of course, I'll bet the RCI folks are thinking the same thing.
