Downgrading question

I booked a suite for our upcoming cruise, (a family member)

Long story short, times have gone downhill and they would like to downgrade.

They still want to go but could use the extra 6 or 7 hundred dollars. They ask me how long does it take to see the refund on your credit card.

Our agent does not charge any fees.

i'm not sure so I will ask you cruise critics
