Grand Princess is not a newer ship. Tipping is $10.50/PP per day. Dress code resort casual OK. Anytime dining and traditional have same menu and same dress code applies to both.

1. yes, 24 hour buffet, normal buffet food-hot and cold, salads, carving station etc. i like it (i don't have to cook it!)

2. any balcony room is a treat! the interiors are the same, just vary by the location on the ship

3. pia1913 says its 10.50 pp/day. in may it was 10.00 pp/per day. so this has gone up too i suppose

4. resort casual is perfect, on formal nights, i've seen quite casual dress to tuxes. we dress up 'cause its rare for us and its fun.

5. dining room menus all the same. each anytime dining room has one special dinner item for that room that doesn't change. i'm not sure if the traditional dining room has 'specials'.

just read on another post that the 'specials' in anytime are only on the sapphire and the diamond.

have a blast on your trip!
