Bases5 Posted August 11, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 11, 2008 I read on here where people pre pay with fun ship dollars and put it as OBC. I'm not asking if its better to put in a saving account or not. What happens if you don't use it all. Do you get it back or do you get a coupon for a future cruise. I like the idea of putting some away every paycheck but what if i put to much. Also if you do it how long does it take to show in your onboard credit on Carnival. com
CruiserWKB Posted August 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2008 If the OBC is what you purchased with funship dollors, you would get it back at the end of your cruise.

I like the idea of putting some away every paycheck but what if i put to much. Also if you do it how long does it take to show in your onboard credit on Carnival. com I do this for every cruise. I buy the fun ship dollars and in the address line (normally home address) I put my booking number. If you do not use all of it you will get a check under your door from Carnival. It takes about a week for it to show up. Make sure that you keep a copy of the emails that they will send you confirming your fun ship dollars that you purchased.(they made an error once and I had my email receipt with me) I love doing this because it is out of reach and you have the money when you board. Hope this helps
