Wilson Posted August 13, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2008 Yes, I tried search feature here and google with negative results. We are currently booked on Mariner deck 9 side cabin, but was told that JS 6394 is available. We were recently on Rhapsody in JS 8588 (rear aft) and the balcony was HUGE. Wondering if the rear balconies on deck 6 of Mariner are the same. Anyone have pics or info? Thanx
BethV114 Posted August 13, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2008 Unfortunately, the aft balconies on the lower decks of the Voyager class ships are not quite as memorable as those on other classes such as Vision or Radiance. However, if the price difference isn't too much, then it may be worthwhile to upgrade for the larger cabin, full bathroom and two cruise credits. This website has tons of pics of the Voyager class ships, so hopefully it will help you make your decision: http://www.romain-moisescot.com/voyagerclass/ Happy sailing either way!:D
cb at sea Posted August 13, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 13, 2008 The problem with the aft cabins on Voyager class is that the balconies don't extend to the end of the ship--there is more hull after your balcony ends, meaning no downward view to the water. You will be overlooking more ship, with the oceanview in the distance. However, a JS is an absolute LOVELY way to sail--plenty of room, loads of storage and the bathroom is larger due to the tub. You'll also get priority boarding in a JS. I'd prefer my JS to be on the side of the ship, on an upper deck, but you really can't go wrong with that catagory of cabin! DonnaK Posted August 13, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2008 I would keep your side balcony. The aft balconies on Voyager-class ships are obstructed view, esp on deck 6.
Wilson Posted August 14, 2008 Author #5 Share Posted August 14, 2008 Thanx for the replies. I guess we will keep our near hump JS on deck 9.
