firefly333 Posted August 19, 2008 #151 Share Posted August 19, 2008 Could it be that Carnival is going the way of RCCL and leaving New Orleans ???? Considering the information was already on the Carnival site about Triumph coming in Nov 09, them removed and now they are making a special deal of a announcement in New Orleans, I doubt the special announcement tomorrow will be naw naw naw!!! we are leaving you high and dry. :D
Cruzman Posted August 19, 2008 #152 Share Posted August 19, 2008 We're equal distance from either port so it's all good for us. Here's what I DON'T get.... They said only the 11/10 sailing on Fantasy will visit Costa Maya on the special 6 day sailing to get her on a normal schedule. Why not put Costa Maya back on the itinerary and drop Progresso? If they can go there on one sailing...they can go there on others. Since it's next year we're talking about, it's a pretty sure thing that CM will be up and running. C'Mon Carnival!! :( I suspect it's all about fuel consumption. The distance from Mobile to Progresso to Cozumel is somewhat less than the Costa Maya / Cozumel turnaround. bigman01 Posted August 19, 2008 #153 Share Posted August 19, 2008 I SERIOUSLY hope your PVP doesn't know what the heck he's talking about. Well, it looks like she DID know what she was talking about. Hey, don't blame me...it's not my fault if I have the absolute best PVP around! :D I'm just glad I'll get a chance to go on the Holiday in Dec.....her sister ship Tropicale was my first cruise way back when, so it should bring back some memories!
