countercast Posted October 22, 2004 #1 Share Posted October 22, 2004 I've read all sorts of various times when docs arrive from months out to hours before the cruise. Is there a 'standard issue date' now that Carnival are trying to streamline some of their admininstration? We've paid in full and were booked way back in February with BPC for guaranty cabins for this 12/19 cruise. I'm a bit worried about them being sent out late and getting held up with the holiday mail. Last year (Christmas), our RCI cruise docs didn't arrive at all and although duplicates were waiting at the port, it was a bit worrisome, just what you don't want with your holiday planning! jleq Posted October 23, 2004 #2 Share Posted October 23, 2004 Expect them about 2-3 weeks prior to your cruise
countercast Posted October 23, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted October 23, 2004 So there's a good chance I won't get them if they're in with the holiday mail.......oh well.
WhozyerMAMA Posted October 23, 2004 #4 Share Posted October 23, 2004 With many of the cruisers being bumped from Baltimore, we received our docs a little late for the NYC Legend Oct. 14-22.
betsyrossapk Posted October 23, 2004 #5 Share Posted October 23, 2004 We received our docs at 41 days out before our cruise. Just keep good thoughts & maybe you will be one of the lucky ones.
kates024 Posted October 23, 2004 #6 Share Posted October 23, 2004 I got my docs for my 12/16 cruise last week about 58 days out. It seems like they mailed them right after I made final payment, which I paid on the date it was due. When I made that final payment I asked when I could expect the docs and was told 3 weeks prior to sailing. Katie
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted October 23, 2004 #7 Share Posted October 23, 2004 Carnival generally mails out the DOCS at least a month prior to sailing. If you booked directly with Carnival, you will receive them quicker than if you booked through a TA (middleman) - in that case it is up to the TA to get them to you. joeb49 Posted October 25, 2004 #9 Share Posted October 25, 2004 We did " the doc dance" as they say on Saturday- just about 35 days til sailing! Booked through Carnival and have an assigned cabin- if that makes a difference! Hang in there! And have a great trip!
Bongo Posted October 25, 2004 #10 Share Posted October 25, 2004 We're cruising on the Glory 11/27 and received an email the other day from our online booking agent that our docs were mailed on 10/23. I'm expecting them in the mail any day now!
