Freemantle Aus to Asia cruises... Help?

This is my first post on this forum. We are hoping to take our first cruise ever next year (2009) and have been looking at a 16 night cruise from Freemantle WA to Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore with Princess Cruises. Has anyone done this cruise who can help us out with details, whether it was value for money etc? We are regular travellers to Thailand who love our trips there but are looking for a special cruise, something different maybe, to celebrate a landmark birthday. It's a bit difficult to find cruises out of Sydney that go to places other than the South Pacific as we'd prefer Asia but I'd also be interested in Hawaii. I don't know if this destination is possible out of Aus either without going all the way to the USA or Canada and then having to fly home. Can anyone advise us please?:)
