Mahogany Beach?? Any Reviews?

Hi! We would love to hear anything you know about Mahogany Beach! We are wondering if you can snorkle from it? And, are there any restaurants nearby? Also, is it a nice safe family beach! Thanks!

We did not know about Mahogony beach when we got to Ocho Rios, we booked a tour with Peat Taylor and at the end of the tour he asked what we wanted to do, we told him we wanted to snorkle, he took us to Mahogony Beach, told us to ask for Mike and that he would pick us back up in a couple of hours. Keep in mind it was just DH and I and it was a first vacation without our kids so we were adventurous. We asked for Mike, he had two locals put us in a small boat and off we went to snorkle. It was the best trip ever, they took us to random places and went down and pulled out interesting fish with food. It had a restaurant and a beach that if we had longer we would have stayed there all day. Look forward to going back in April. Its a great beach!
