misty57 Posted August 31, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 31, 2008 on Orient Beach? Which vendor did you use and what was the cost?
The Big Booper Posted September 1, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 1, 2008 I have always seen jet skies operating at Orient but don't remember which beach bar rented them. Here is a link to Ed's panorama aerial photo of Orient Beach. You can click on each place listed which brings up their own website with activities, prices, etc. http://home.carolina.rr.com/photos2005/LargeOrientPanorama.htm. Ed made this several years ago while parasailing back and forth over the beach. Great job.

misty57 Posted September 2, 2008 Author #4 Share Posted September 2, 2008 Thanks! My sons want to do this and I thought St Martin would be a better place than Labadee... better access to emergency services  . Neither have done this before so I'm a little concerned for their safety:o .
kimspony Posted September 3, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 3, 2008 Last week we paid $50 for a half hour, $55 if you use credit card. It seems like every other building on the beach rented them, so they are all pretty much the same. I think you have to be older than 16 to drive. mikepmcm Posted October 11, 2008 #6 Share Posted October 11, 2008 We rented Jet Skis off the beach in Phillipsburg and because of all of the competition they offered rentals for $35 for a half hour and $60 for an hour.(few tourists, we were the only ship in port). A half hour was more than plenty. You were allowed to go all the way out to the resorts in the backround of the picture below.
getz Posted October 24, 2008 #7 Share Posted October 24, 2008 owning my own jetski for the past 4 years, biggest safety tips are that 1. there are no brakes 2. you must give it trottle in order to steer 3. Keep safe distances from other watercraft/people/shore Other than that, there shouldn't be any issues. Enjoy!
