teacher2cruiser Posted September 7, 2008 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2008 How many nights does Carnival have a late night buffet? What's it like, and where is it located?
excitedcruiser Posted September 7, 2008 #2 Share Posted September 7, 2008 They usually have their big Midnight Buffet in the Lido Buffet restaurant. It's worth staying up for. It's only one night on the cruise. They open it up at 11:00 pm for picture taking and then to eat at midnight.
PINEVIEW01 Posted September 7, 2008 #3 Share Posted September 7, 2008 They have the grill open about 11/11:30 with cookies evey night. Depending on the ship/length. they have a last night party on the Lido and the Grand Gala.
SunshneNC Posted September 7, 2008 #4 Share Posted September 7, 2008 The Midnight Gala Buffet was held in the Mardi Gras Dining Room when I was on the Inspiration last month. The late night Mexican Buffet was up on the Lido deck at 11.
PINEVIEW01 Posted September 7, 2008 #5 Share Posted September 7, 2008 Fantasy class has the Gala in dinning room and the rest have it on the Lido. I prefer the Dinning room myself.
fat_joe Posted September 7, 2008 #6 Share Posted September 7, 2008 On the Miracle, the gala buffet is held in the dining room.
AZ Karaoke Girl Posted September 7, 2008 #7 Share Posted September 7, 2008 On the Spirit they had it in the dining room. But they had the mexican buffet at 11pm on the lido buffet and it was not very good. I wished I had gone to bed instead. Salmon enchiladas - yuck! I've heard of fish taco's but this was disgusting. southbayer Posted September 7, 2008 #8 Share Posted September 7, 2008 I keep missing that event. I'm gonna make it a point this time around to see it, and photograph it.

wework2play Posted September 8, 2008 #11 Share Posted September 8, 2008 I have never ever gone to the midnight buffet. do people really eat a buffet at that time of night? I think it would make me sick, but I'd love to see it. Well, I've done taco bell at that time- but that's different! Is it really crowded?
cruisetobeaches Posted September 8, 2008 #12 Share Posted September 8, 2008 Have always been impressed with the midnight buffet as far as 'looks go'. Pretty neat what they can do with food for decoration. the actual 'taste' has usually been a let down, except for some of the deserts. A lot of the neat looking things are just that. Neat to look at....................Not exactly tasty!
dan40 Posted September 8, 2008 #13 Share Posted September 8, 2008 How many nights does Carnival have a late night buffet? What's it like, and where is it located? I guess you are asking about a GALA MIDNITE BUFFET and you have your answers above. In the Lido buffet area, they serve food at 11:30 EACH night. Except GALA nights. No big to do, just a couple of cafeteria lines open with a limited selection. But if you are hungry, there is food. And room service is available 24/7 Dan

I know about the room service, but I didn't know you could go and get cookies and such at 11:30pm?

On the Lido deck aft you can also get serve yourself soft ice cream and coffee, tea, or hot chocolate. The cookies will disappear in a few minutes but the ice cream and drinks are ALWAYS available.
